Re: Kickstarters focused on Diversity
@Tom I love projects that focus on changing youth and teaching them how to be empowered people! Backed right away! @Katrina That sounds awesome! I understand that we may have to find the needle in the hay sometimes with so many different areas and what not, but I believe we can do it. It's fun to ve...

Re: Kickstarters focused on Diversity
Great ones, Tasha. I decided to venture into areas I haven't been on the site and found some interesting ones: As someone with mental illness, I like how this video game, HappyMart, tackles living with the illness and creating a welcoming society that isn't dismissive. Over halfway funded with plent...

Kickstarters focused on Diversity
This is a welcoming place to discuss Kickstarters that are focused on spreading diversity. These can be projects that focus on feminism, racial representation, the LGBTQIA community, different socio-economic backgrounds, religions, and more. A great place to discuss current and past Kickstarters wit...

Re: What categories on Kickstarter are your favorites?
Good to see someone else big on diversity. I'll have to post more of those projects when I back them over here for others to see. Thanks, Tasha. Diversity is key to helping our modern society, and I find that Kickstarter is a good place to support projects with a lot of potential for spre...

Re: Warning signs of KS campaigns
4. If stretch goals are costly/new technology when they barely have a prototype/too many new things - may lead to delays or project may run out of money 5. Project wildly over-funds and #4 Totally agree about this one. If they're not completely prepared and get wildly over-funded, then things get h...

Re: Kickstarter FAILs
I don't mind when projects are super late as long as they keep me informed with semi-regular updates. Most of the projects I back end up getting vastly overfunded and the creators clearly get overwhelmed (especially if they're a one-person show). I like projects that are open with process pictures/v...

Re: What categories on Kickstarter are your favorites?
I spend a lot of time in Games with the most focus on board games. I go into Comics the second most. If there's anything pro-diversity like stuff for/about women, people of different races, the LGBTQIA community, etc., then I normally back those to give them some support in whatever category. I ofte...

Re: Working on a new 200+ pages Kickstarter guide.
This is a really comprehensive guide. Although, I'd recommend making it more concise as to not overwhelm anyone who is going to do their campaign. As someone invested in Kickstarter, it's nice to see so much detail, but even I had to drag my feet a bit to make it past page 50. Otherwise, it looks gr...

Re: Exploding Kittens
I agree that I don't think it's going to be a great game. It will probably be okay and something I play every couple of months, but not something I latch onto. I was drawn in by the hype and I do like The Oatmeal. I think the way they made their stretch goals be based on achievements rather than fun...

Re: Board games on Kickstarter
Here's another that I'm getting because it is so pretty and cheap: Entropy. With shipping it comes out to about $20 USD. I guess it would be classified as set collection with simultaneous action selection mechanics. It feels like a good filler between bigger games. It reminds me of smaller games li...
