Wearable Tech for Women

So far wearable technology has been, by and large, very ugly. ;)

When I hear the phrase wearable tech I think of a huge brick looking watch dangling from someone's wrist. There have been a few fitness trackers that came out that looked pretty nice (like the Misfit Shine https://smartclothinglab.com/what-misfi ... n-general/from a couple years ago).

Here is an interesting article about smart earrings, the world's first: http://techdissected.com/news/ear-o-sma ... -earrings/

Ear-O-Smart is actually going to be debuting their pre-launch project here on BackerClub next week, so I thought it would be fun to start a discussion about wearable tech that isn't ugly. What else have you seen out there, either for men or women, that is wearable tech and is actually something decent looking that you'd want to wear?

Sounds interesting. I'd be interested in seeing this expanded to necklaces or bracelets for those of us that don't wear earrings / have hearing aids that this would interfere with. Its great to see a company thinking about women specifically and our needs. So much of what is on the market is really designed for men and then they slap on pink or purple & suddenly its for "women" too.

A great gift for mom - order early for the holiday's or birthday. I don't know about the rest of you but my mom, in her 70s, is getting pretty savvy with technology and is very into staying fit.

I'd love to learn more about the DIY option and also how water resistant/proof they are. What happens if you are caught in the rain or sweating heavily while exercising?
