suggestion: make the "forgot password" button less prominent

I pretty much click it every time I try to log in. It's just habit: the leftmost big blue button = the "submit" button. It's annoying.

People don't forget their passwords so often that they need a button that is of equal, or even greater, prominence with the "submit" button. On most of my devices, the password for a general membership site like this one is saved anyway.

So perhaps consider putting it as just a hyperlink below the submit button. That's the general standard online. Instagram does it perfectly:

https://instagram.com/accounts/login/

Nice and clear if you need, fades into the background if you don't.

I fourth this suggestion. The current "forgot password" button is a crime against usability design.

I was ready to start a thread on this (after having clicked the wrong button for the umpteenth time) and was going to suggest I was clearly an idiot....but lo and behold, there are lots of folks who have found the same thing as me.

Order, placement, size, and color - if all could be changed please...we would all be so thankful!

I agree, I just clicked again when I signed on 5 min ago, who he leads me to another suggestion. Please fix the Remember Me check box ... I check it and check it, but it never remembers me. If it would remember me I wouldnt get caught clicking the forgot password button every other time I. visit the site.

Yes, please change the button to a link underneath the login button. The largest, most prominent button should always be for the default action. As Steve Krug said in the title of his classic book on web usability, "Don't Make Me Think."

I 10th this suggestion! :D

I'm sorry I haven't been in the forum for such a long time to see their earlier...keeping up with the growth of the site has been so all-consuming as of late. Just a quick note that if you have suggestions like this or need to get in touch with us the quickest way is to send us a message at [email protected]. That goes to both co-founders and will allow us to get back to you a lot quick than in the forum.

Great suggestion all...I feel quite dumb for not having noticed this earlier. We'll get it modified.

Question, how is the "Remember me" option working? Is the site still forcing you to login very frequently?
