Hi all, on many of my projects, I see comments from Unbargo removed by kickstarter. Unbargo is backing over 200 projects....many similar to me. I wonder what is going on?

I noticed that today also. Weird.

Yes, backing 200+ projects but joined in Feb 2015. Maybe they ran afoul of some KS setpoint and got an auto ban - too many messages in a day like in the other thread?

BTW - their bio is pretty secretive too. Not sure that a project that hinges that much on secrecy is a good one or is going to succeed.

I saw another user Nick Martin with disappearing comments. This user is a BC member.

From a quick look over Unbargo's profile I'm wondering if they were posting links in their comments to their project. Kickstarter comes down pretty hard on that.

It's also possibly people are posting referal links to BC in comments which might also fall under spamming according to Kickstarter TOS and community guidelines.

one should never post links to other projects on the comments page. If you are having conversations in the comments and backers are talking about other projects use names & mention the project can be found in your profile (or even the creators profile). But most of the time promoting other projects in comments is considered bad taste & posting actual links is violating Kickstarter policies.

For backer referal have the links in your profile so people can click on your name. Don't post links in comments on projects. And only mention BC if you are part of the conversation happening in the comments and it comes up naturally. Otherwise it is spamming and we are enthusiastic backers not evil spammers.

Without seeing their comments I'm simply hazarding guesses for what might be happening. YMMV I don't have insider knowledge just 20+ years of social media experience as well as watching people on Kickstarter do foolish link spam.

Unbargo's project has been suspended. The number of projects they are supporting has dropped. Their comments are still being deleted. All looks pretty suspicious to me.

Yeah, noticed that as well! I remember reading somewhere (in one of the projects comments) that a you back me, I back you thing was going on....
Unbargo had a project, some unbaised news site thingy and he would ask other smaller campaign owners to back his project in return for backing from him.
