Xtron Pro is born out of the Xtron project. During the initial development phases, we received a lot of feedback from Xtron backers. Xtron is a bare circuit board, great for building up electronic hardware knowledge, however, it was not portable and the bare board can be easily damaged. Since then, a Xtron upgrade came into being. We hoped it would be more compact, exquisite, and portable, and it could truly empower children's growth and learning, not just a programmable game console.
Eventually, this leads us to a clear goal, to make a multifunctional programmable mobile console for children - the Xtron Pro. With Xtron Pro, the user can define its functions through programming, run self-programmed games, customize smartwatches, and even build IoT and robot projects. We believe this approach will help to unleash the potential for children to let their imagination run wild. The Xtron Pro programmable game console is divided into two parts: the core and the game pad. We have also determined one core and multiple extensions R & D direction.
MakeCode Arcade is a code editor to build Retro Arcade games for the browser and handheld consoles.

Xtron Pro has a built-in 16 megabytes flash memory. On the basis of the origin bootloader, we added a file system to it, which makes it convienent to store, browse and load multiple game firmware.

At present, most MakeCode Arcade compatible handheld consoles on the market can only store one firmware at a time and require a computer to upgrade the firmware. You will have a better experience with the built-in 16M flash memory and file system.
The built-in IMU sensor with high accuracy leads to the fun of the game to go beyond the buttons. You can create motion sensing games with it, bringing a whole new level of interaction to the games you create.

It's easy to transfer the Xtron Pro to a NES simulator, simply download NES games from internet and copy XTRON_NES.uf2 (developed by our team in Microsoft uf2 format which is the same as MakeCode Arcade Games) to Xtron Pro drive disk.
We have also developed a dedicated software platform for Xtron Pro, Xmaker. It has rich program blocks and image resources to make it easier for beginners with limited knowledge of programming.

After connecting to the Wi-Fi network through your custom program, you can explore the rich networking functions of Xtron Pro.
Through the MQTT server, Xtron Pro can establish connection with the mobile APP, so you can monitor the sensor data, or control the hardwares remotely.
The Xtron Pro IoT APP supports data visualization of existing sensors and remote control of output modules.
The data endpoint in the APP is convenient to link up with visual program blocks, and the Xmaker provides a wealth of program blocks related to IoT applications.
Xtron Pro has a 4PIN connector, which can be connected to extension modules. We now have three sensor modules and three output modules, these include: ultrasonic, potentiometer and soil moisture sensor, servo controller, touch & led and 7-Segment display modules.
The existing sensors and modules are not very rich, we need your help to develop more modules to enrich the functions of Xtron Pro.
When the Xtron Pro is connected to the Internet, it can recognize speech. The speech command can be customized through programming with provided APIs.
You can make IoT projects with Xtron Pro's sensors & modules and use Wi-Fi to connect to a cloud for speech control applications.
In addition to recognizing speech, Xtron Pro can also convert text to speech. Why not DIY a dialogue robot?
Xtron Pro is a systematic project, it includes hardware, software, platform, server, App, as and courses. We have done our best to advance the development of the project with limited resources. Reaching the origin goal will help us continue completing the development. So far we have achieved phased success, the hardware is ready for mass production, and we have paid part of mold costs. After the funding is raised, we will use it to pay for the remaining mold costs, as well making mass production possible.
Xtron Pro has strong scalability. We have conceived a wealth of extension modules, such as lego extensions and robots. Our philosophy is one core multiple extensions. We have set a stretch goal at $100,000, if we reach this goal, we will gift one extension module in the Xtron Pro kit to encourage you to explore Xtron Pro's extensive features.
