Meet Maicat, the home robot that's so much more than just a high-tech lint roller. Honestly, it's a home assistant, a learning platform, a security system, and a companion that will never ask you to clean its litter box. Think of it as a cat with a software upgrade! With Maicat, you're never alone - whether you're in the living room or halfway across the world, this little gadget's got an eye on things back home. It'll even let you know if you've accidentally left the gas on. And the best part? It can't cough up a hairball on your favorite rug. With Maicat, you get all the affection of a cat with none of the attitude - plus a few extra perks!

a tad on the gimmicky side, but would like to be proven wrong

some may like this, however i find it a bit creepy

the robotic pet should fight climate change while not in use, however this does not seem to be a function

not for me, im afraid

Its their first Kickstarter and an AI is not a small project. Further their website self describes as a start up and I cant see any existing products, so this is their first. Definitly ambitious but a bit of a risk in my view.

I like the idea o the design and a better interface than something similar from Amazon (?) that was essentially a tablet attached to a roomba and shaped like a small animal...

I did not see any information on this.

It's not cheap, that's for sure. But I have no real comparison to similar items.

First Kickstarter. But Macroact is an existing company that has something to show already. The project is very ambitious though. Robotic animals already exist, but they claim to have many functions. Or it may end up being your DIY programming playground with many half thought out applications.

Good idea. Smarthome robot with many functions and potential. Cool design. Open source. There are so many things about this to like.

No information.

Really depends on if and what they'll deliver. If this not only comes as open source, programmable smartdevice, but also with many preprogrammed functions and they work as told, it's value is very high. But I think it's already very valueable as a learning tool. It's not cheap though.

Not sure it can do what they are claiming it will. Recognition of taking medication or that gas has been left on are pretty hard to do. Also, first time creator.

It has a lot of cool things it can do but there are cuter look robopets, this is a bit weird.

Electronics are not normally good for the environment.

A bit on the expensive side for this sort of thing in you want full functionality.

Potential as a true smarthome device, that goes beyond their single cut out function.
