Just hope it works

Beautiful, my dad will be overjoyed

It's a present for my dad so I won't comment

Very expensive, but dad is worthy of it

highly ambitious, to be sure

pretty cool if it works, however I would like to see plans for Neuralink support & integration

it is unclear if there are a sufficient % of sustainable materials used to consider this project as friendly to the climate

thats a pricey chessboard

That's the main problem here. It sounds very ambitious. The final product doesn't exist. They want to create the final board, an app, means to connect with other players and learning programs. That's a lot. If they deliver, you'll probably wait some time for some features or they will be dropped.

The idea is awesome. A physical representation of playing with someone virtually. I love the idea.

The many infos

If this works out, it's still expensive. You're really investing into a science project here, so the value of the product itself is questionable.

Not sure

A bit large clunky ... not elegant enough.... this is decore first, otherwise play on a free app

Not sure

So expensive! The basic modle is $400! For the most basic one

Hmm. Not sure on this one. Does not need to be an experienced team and their goal of $6,718 AUD seems way out of sync with their stretch goals of $650,000 - $1,000,000. They also cite, correctly, the inherent complexity of the project.

It is a very interesting design.

Not much mention here.

Hi Matthias K,

I totally agree with your sentiments , we started with an idea then went to the lab to engineer a prototype with a lot of trial and error . The technology is based of a PCB which is extensively used in various electronic devices. We will have a finished product once we hit the DFM stage.

It's way to expensive but I will back it because of my dad

Love the idea. But it's really more like a science project than a finished product.

Hi Simon B,

Just updated team names that was not done intentionally. We are a team of engineers and dont have much experience in KS thats why we have a “poor” ad compared to other chess boards ads.

Boards are australian made , any backer in Sydney Australia can get a demo before backing.

Hi Ben S, why 400 ? The PCB is a 10 layer board with 1024 coils and the driiving board has driving ics for the 1024 coils so its not cheap to produce. We also wanted to ensure that we can deliver the board
