Back in 2020, we launched our very first watch on Kickstarter, the SeaBorne 500 M. With the support of 150 backers, we were able to bring the SeaBorne to life and thus launched the beginning of AUDRIC.

Now meet our latest addition to the AUDRIC Collection, The STRIDER Automatic! Next to its powerful appearance, this elegant and vintage inspired watch is packed with many impressive technical features

Our previous Kickstarter campaign was a very important step in building our brand and enabled us to extend our product range. Now we are stepping up our game and need your help to make the AUDRIC STRIDER a reality!

 The STRIDER

We received a lot of comments during the development of the SeaBorne and many of them were along the lines of "love it but need something which is toned down", "it's a bit too big for me" and "I'd love something for both sports and casual!". We took these on board and got to work with designing the STRIDER.

The result is a watch which retains some of the angular designs of our first model but also addresses the comments above and combines them with the robust Sellita SW 200-1 movement in a 42mm multi dimensional steel case.

FORM MEETS FUNCTION

We really wanted to create a design that would work for both "dressing up" and "dressing down". We also wanted to ensure that the watch is robust, reliable and suitable for everyday wear.

   

A classy and highly luminous dial was of great importance. The hobnail textured dial is made with great amount of attention to detail. The dial features raised (applied) polished hour markers and printed AUDRIC Logo. The hands are Rhodium plated which gives that extra shine and durability for longer years. The lume on the dial, hands, and bezel is a heavy dose of BGW9 that glows a blue all night long. The watch is absolutely free from harmful coatings like nickel. We used matte dials to reduce dial reflection and incorporated colors beyond the classic Black, such as Granite Gray, Alpine White, Double Cream and Forest Green to suit the concrete, snow, sand and mud and Jungle environments.

 The case is made of 316 L stainless steel which is also called as surgical steel. This is a high grade, metallurgically strong steel that has a greater resistant to corrosives – both of industrial and biological origin. Due to its effectiveness in high-stress situations, more specifically in contexts that present remarkable levels of acidity, it is highly appreciated in marine environments.   The finishing on the AUDRIC Strider is exceptional. Crisp edges and perfect polishing make for excellent contrast across the multiple facets. The crown is perfectly sized and easy to operate. The flat crystal gives the watch a modern look congruent with the rest of its design. The case has a nice shape that allows it to sit easily on the wrist. The talon-like shape of the lugs and the scalloped bezel is unique to this watch.

We wanted to use some of the best input materials on the market for this watch. Inside of the STRIDER watches are the Swiss Made Sellita SW 200-1 which are hugely employed by the most renowned firms in the field of horology. They are very accurate and built to last for many years. The balance runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and the movement hacks, comprising 26-jeweled bearings. They deliver a 38 hour power to the timepiece when fully charged /wound. This caliber is considered a workhorse by today's watch making standard.

We used a Flat surface Sapphire Crystal Glass for the extraordinary mechanical properties it exhibits rather than the Mineral Crystal Glass alternatives seen in most watches. Five layers of anti-reflective coating are added to the underside of the crystal in addition to the double dome, ensuring a high degree of clarity and minimal light distortion and thus allowing you to get a clear view of the dial at all times, both indoors and outdoors. The crystal is 3.5 mm thick in the center and tapers down to 3.3 mm at the sides. This enables water tight setup for the watch at all circumstances.

Limited Warranty

All AUDRIC Watches will come with a limited International warranty against any manufacturing defect for a period of two years from the date of purchase, under the conditions below.  This is a one person operation and I am working on a budget to try and realize my dreams of making some high-end complications available at affordable prices - keeping that in mind I will try my utmost to ensure all backers are fully happy with their STRIDER model. What is covered?

With this two-year limited guarantee, AUDRIC undertakes to repair, free of charge (exclusive of shipping costs returning the watch to us), any problem with the functions of the watch that result from defective manufacturing.

What is not covered?

Any defects resulting from actions carried out anywhere other than at AUDRIC are not covered by this guarantee and will render it null and void. The limited guarantee also does not cover straps/bracelets, crystals, or any deterioration of the case or movement due to humidity that has entered the watch as a result of improper handling. More generally, it does not apply if there has been improper or inadequate use of the watch.
