ATYS toothbrush offers an alternative to consumers who are looking for an eco-friendly toothbrush that does not forgo aesthetics. The new toothbrush design offers an attractive premium. 

Boasting an aluminum handle with a replaceable brush head, this new design aims to reduce environmental pollution while maintaining style and self-respect.

 We are also developing biodegradable replacement heads for Philips electric toothbrushes. Most of the electric replacement heads are made of plastic.  Since all the parts have to be disassembled, replacements are almost impossible to recycle. For this reason, our brush heads are one single PLA (not plastic).

If we replace our toothbrushes every 3 months, that’s 4 toothbrushes a year, equaling over 300 toothbrushes in a lifetime!

 

Over 99% of the world’s toothbrushes are plastic. 1 billion toothbrushes are thrown away annually in the United States alone. 

Plastic toothbrushes take over 400 years to decompose, and they remain in landfills for an indefinite period. Plastic toothbrushes do not only end up in landfills; they also get into our forests, rivers, and oceans. 

   

The sustainable and quality-proven ATYS toothbrush is made of a durable, aluminum base with simple, replaceable heads. 

Recyclable, biodegradable plastics can be broken down within 6 months. PLA bioplastic offers a significantly reduced carbon footprint versus traditional oil-based plastics. 

 

In the program, customers simply collect and send their used toothbrush heads to ATYS, and the bristles will be separated from the toothbrush head to be processed and properly composted. 

 

Though there are plenty of sustainable, bamboo toothbrushes worldwide, poor quality bristles actually negatively affect gum health. 

Our carefully crafted toothbrush stands have water holes that provide ventilation and prevent water from accumulating in the stands.

 

Unfortunately, many people continue to use the wrong toothbrush without knowing that their teeth and gums could be damaged.

   

ATYS toothbrush heads are made out of corn starch (PLA). Other brands' toothbrush heads are assembled with multiple plastic parts with metal inside for replacement reminder function. Although our brush heads do not have the replacement reminder function, we can assure that our brush heads can be fully recycled after removing the bristles.

 

We proceeded with our first small pre-production batch for testing and research. Thanks to the feedback on our original ATYS toothbrush, we were able to create an even better product.

   

The travel case contains an inner holder case for your toothbrush, so you don’t have to worry about it rolling around and picking up any unwanted particles in the travel pouch.

It is currently difficult to determine exact shipping costs due to the highly fluctuating market prices. Shipping will be calculated and paid for just before we ship out our products to you. 

Shipping costs will be charged based on pledge levels and add-ons separately. After your purchase on Kickstarter, we will be sending you a survey that will securely process your address, your final order choices, and shipping payment. Due to the customs policy of different countries, tax may be imposed.
