The PockitRod is a bold reimagining of the everyday carry multi-tool. It's not trying to replace your pliers-based Leatherman; it's carving out a new niche for people who want a discreet, modular, pen-sized toolkit that actually looks good in a shirt pocket. If you love clever EDC gear that sparks conversation, this one's worth a look.

This is CONVERGE's first Kickstarter project. That said, founder Clinton Brassington brings 19+ years in the construction and maintenance industry, so the guy knows tools inside and out. The campaign smashed its goal within the first 16 hours and is sitting north of AU$33,000 with 195 backers, which tells you the community is buying in.
Forget everything you know about chunky multi-tools because the PockitRod looks and feels like a sleek pen. The modular pod system lets you thread, swap, and reconfigure 11 different functions (flashlight, hex drivers, box opener, inkless pen, stylus) into one slim 6.7-inch, 1.76oz package. Precision CNC-machined from 6061-T4 aluminum with magnetic connections and a deep carry pocket clip, this thing is genuinely gorgeous engineering.
There's no explicit mention of sustainability initiatives or environmental commitments in the campaign. The use of durable aluminum and high-quality steel (20CV for blade tips, 6150 CRV for bits) means these tools are built to last, which is inherently less wasteful. Transparency around manufacturing and shipping timelines has been solid so far.
Backing starts at around AU$165 (roughly US$115) for the full PockitRod system including the keychain companion and alternative tips. That's in the same ballpark as a premium Leatherman or Victorinox, though you're getting a very different kind of tool here. Worldwide shipping is included, which sweetens the deal for international backers.
I do love this idea; however, I'm watching my finances, right now, because of the stability issues with my Country. Sorry!
