ST-01 - A multifunctional desk toy that helps you unwind
A tactile, precision-machined object designed to break the scroll and help you pause.
Funding Campaigns
The ST-01 is a thoughtfully engineered desk companion from a small studio that clearly sweats the details. With 50 pre-production units already tested to destruction and a manufacturing partner ready to go, this one feels as solid on the fulfillment side as it does in the hand.

This is Amsterdam Dynamics' first Kickstarter project, but the small design studio is doing things right. They've already manufactured and tested 50 units end-to-end, including packaging and laser engraving, and broke every one of them to validate quality. Their manufacturing partner has 20+ years of experience in high-precision CNC work, and they're ready to go the moment the campaign wraps. Delivery is targeted for June 2026, and founder Antonio sounds both confident and realistic about the timeline.
The ST-01 is beautifully minimal and surprisingly intentional. Each unit is CNC-machined from a solid block of aluminum, weighing in at exactly 53 grams after extensive testing to find the sweet spot between portability, spin time, and ease of use. The team spent over six months on finishes alone, testing colors, textures, and anodization until they landed on the right feel. Four distinct interactions (spin, click, flip, snap) emerged from countless iterations, all held together by precisely positioned magnets that had to be strong enough to keep things stable mid-spin but gentle enough for anyone to pull apart. It even spins upside down, which the team didn't discover until after the design was finalized.
Amsterdam Dynamics deliberately avoided molds and plastic. Founder Antonio says they wanted to create something that could last a lifetime and even be passed to the next generation. The aluminum construction is durable and recyclable, and the modular magnetic design means no glue, no screws, and easy disassembly. There's no mention of specific sustainability certifications, but the "build it once, build it right" philosophy is genuine.
With an average pledge of around €44, backers clearly see the value here. For a precision-machined, multi-functional aluminum desk object, the price point is competitive with similar EDC and fidget products that use lesser materials.
