This is HYFIX's first Kickstarter project, so there's no delivery track record to lean on just yet. That said, they've got a working prototype that was showcased at CES 2026, which is a serious credibility boost. The team brings experience in GNSS and autonomous systems, and their transparency about the development stage is refreshing.
A fully autonomous drone-in-a-box for your home is straight-up futuristic and incredibly cool. RTK-powered centimeter-level precision, automated patrols, self-docking charging, and a companion app make this feel like something out of a sci-fi movie. The no-pilot-needed approach with preset patrol routes is a smart move for mainstream appeal.
HYFIX is upfront about this being a pre-production product, clearly laying out what's working and what's still in testing. They've dedicated a whole section to safety, privacy, and responsible design with geofencing and fail-safes in development. AI use in the campaign is transparently disclosed, which we always appreciate.
The Innovator tier at $1,899 (with the Launch Special sold out at $1,699) is a significant investment, but enterprise drone-in-a-box systems typically run tens of thousands of dollars.
