Lumi AI Dock is Lumi Robotics' first Kickstarter, so it is an unproven team taking a big swing. They have already open-sourced their PhoneAct 32B vision model and a Phone Use SDK, which shows real substance behind the pitch. Bold idea, but the groundwork on display earns some trust.

A clever open-chassis dock that physically taps, swipes, and types on your real phone, with no root, jailbreak, or app hooks. The full version carries onboard AI compute, cameras, and a precise motion system that reads the screen and acts on it. It plays nicely with iPhone and Android, flipping between spare-phone, desktop copilot, and voice-assistant modes.

Local-first by design, so your notes, tasks, and data stay on the device. It asks before sending, paying, or deleting anything, and masks sensitive info before any cloud call. Open code and open models make the whole approach unusually transparent.

Entry is friendly: a Cloud Version starts at $99 for early backers (it runs through your computer over USB), while the fully standalone dock with onboard AI opens at $299. Either tier gets you a genuine phone-operating robot, not just an app subscription. Ambitious hardware at a surprisingly approachable ask.
