Switch Rack: A Revolution in Bike Transport
The most kick-ass hitch-mounted bike rack ever conceived!
Category: Outdoors & Sports
Funding Campaigns
A rare crowdfunding rack that is already tooled, already warrantied for life, and clever enough about modularity to earn a Project We Love badge from Kickstarter. If you haul bikes, this is one rack instead of three.

This is StoreYour's first Kickstarter campaign, but the team has been designing and manufacturing space saving products since 2009, so the manufacturing muscle is already there. Several years of product development are behind this rack and the tooling is finalized, meaning the product exists rather than the idea of one. They are refreshingly plain about the one real variable being timing, not whether it gets built.
The skeletonized steel frame is the headline, cutting weight while keeping your tail lights unobstructed and looking sharp parked at the trailhead. Modularity is the smart part, letting you add or remove bike trays in under five minutes to go from a solo ride to a three bike crew without owning three racks. The patent pending Switch Lock handles a 90 degree one handed actuation even with the tire under load, and dual 1.25" and 2" hitch fitment skips the flimsy adapter sleeves entirely.
Steel was chosen deliberately over lighter, shorter lived materials because it is one of the most recycled and recyclable materials on the planet. The zinc phosphate pre dip, electrophoretic deposition coating, and UV resistant powder coat all exist so this rack does not rust out and get replaced in three years. Their factory runs industrial wastewater treatment and a near zero VOC powder coating process, and the lifetime warranty backs the longevity claims with something real.
Early Bird pricing opens at $375 for the Solo, $549 for the Duo, and $725 for the Full Crew, roughly 35 percent off. Standard Kickstarter tiers sit at $425, $599, and $775 with December 2026 or January 2027 delivery, and optional add ons cover a 1.25" hitch adapter and an 8" extension. For a robotically MIG welded steel rack rated to 70 lbs per tray, cleared for 4.5" fat tires and e-bikes, and carrying a lifetime warranty, that is strong money.
