A genuinely clever rethink of the powered fishing platform, with the mid-mount drive and anchor lock doing real work. First-time creator, so factor that in, but the engineering and the kit are impressive.

This is Ventral's first Kickstarter campaign, so there's no delivery track record to point at yet. They're leaning on established manufacturing partners and an existing supply chain rather than building from zero. Industry editors flagging it at ICAST 2026 is a real outside signal, and that counts for something.
The TwinTube stabilizer hull is the star here, giving you two water-contact air beams so you can actually stand and cast. Moving the motor to a mid-mount position is the kind of fix that only comes from real time on the water, since clearing weeds means lifting the drive instead of leaning over the stern. Add GPS anchor lock within a meter, autopilot, route recording, foot pedals, and voice commands, and you get a board that holds your spot while you fish.
The risks section is refreshingly plain about supplier delays and weather, which beats vague promises. Dual-layer PVC with a drop-stitch core and polyester mesh points to a board built to last rather than replaced. There's no dedicated sustainability commitment listed, so that's an open question worth asking.
Super Early Bird lands at $2,499, Early Bird at $2,599, and the Kickstarter Special at $2,699, all against a $3,999 MSRP. Every tier ships as a full kit with board, carrying cases, inflatable seat, paddle, dual-action pump, and bungee gear. That's roughly a third off a complete motorized fishing platform, which reads fair for a 1.2 kWh LiFePO4 system with six hours of run time.
