This is the first Kickstarter for Doug and Jeannie, working out of Austin, Texas. They spent the past year with manufacturing partners tuning the grinder's torque so it can chew through freeze-dried protein, and they have working, tested prototypes to show for it. Ingredient sourcing and packaging partners are locked in, and the risks section names manufacturing timelines, customs, and scaling fulfillment plainly instead of hiding behind optimism.
The idea is lifted straight from the pepper mill at a nice restaurant: press a button, grind fresh topping over the bowl, no crusty scoop buried in a bag. Torque was the whole engineering problem, since freeze-dried liver is far tougher than it looks, and the grinder charges over USB-C. It works with any kibble or feeding style, and the refill library is set to expand into beef heart, sweet potato, and joint, calming, and daily wellness blends.
Most toppers are a single premium ingredient, human grade and freeze-dried, sourced and packaged in the USA, with no filler list to decode. The grinder is rechargeable and built to be reused for years rather than thrown out with the bag. AI use is disclosed for portions of the marketing video, all other imagery is their own, and allergy questions are answered directly in the FAQ.
The Kickstarter Early Dog tier is $49 for the grinder, USB-C charger, and both signature refills, beef liver and chicken. The standard Starter Kit runs $55, and the Family Pack bundles two complete kits at $95 for multi-dog households, shipping within the United States. Refills are planned at $12 to $18 a bag, and one bag stretches a few months for most dogs. Delivery is estimated for December 2026.
