Industrial surface finishing shrunk to the footprint of a desktop 3D printer, with the dust problem solved rather than relocated. A strong call for anyone printing, casting, or machining in a room they also breathe in.

This is GritPlex's first Kickstarter, and they are open about the split: their team owns the product vision and industrial design, while manufacturing partner Zhuhai Refine brings a decade of precision equipment production and more than 60 patents. Engineering validation, tooling, and pre-production are already finished, which puts this well past the prototype stage. They name shipping and customs as the only real variables, have built a four week buffer into the schedule, and commit to weekly updates.

Two aluminum chambers feed two pens, a 1.2mm for coarse removal and a 0.8mm for fine detail, and a front panel selector swaps between abrasives in under two seconds with nothing to empty or clean. The foot pedal is the clever part: press it and you are blasting, lift it and the same sealed cabin instantly becomes a dust free bench for your files, Dremel, and carving knives. A Venturi mixing block keeps media flow linear from 0.1 MPa for brittle resin miniatures up to 1.0 MPa for CNC aluminum, so no sudden sand clots crater the piece you just spent hours on.

Three stage containment keeps the cabin under constant negative pressure, throws 95% of heavy particles into the SpinX cyclone bin, and puts the rest through a True HEPA filter rated to 99.97% at 0.3 microns, which matters when the dust is resin and microplastics. Kickstarter environmental commitments are filled in properly, with 10,000 hour rated components, user serviceable films, filters, and hoses, consolidated shipping, and curbside recyclable packaging. Cyclone separation also recovers your abrasive, and glass beads survive 30 or more cycles before they are spent.

The Complete Workstation with Core, SpinX, and Vac sits around $899 against a $1,449 MSRP, and the Core only tier for anyone with a decent extractor already runs about $549 against $799. A double Complete bundle comes in near $1,750, and every tier includes the 10kg abrasive bundle, two dust mask kits, 100 OPP viewing films, and hoses. Shipping is billed separately after the campaign, quoted under $240 by sea for the Complete system on DDP terms, with a one year warranty and October 2026 delivery.
