This is Oaketa's first Kickstarter, but the team comes from furniture development, sourcing, and QC. They're based in Dongguan, one of China's big furniture manufacturing hubs, and have already been doing factory visits. One thing to keep in mind: the final manufacturing partner isn't locked in yet.
It turns the dead space behind your sofa into powered, multi-level storage that raises and lowers electrically. Lower it and the clutter mostly disappears. Raise it and your remotes, drinks, and chargers are right there. It's freestanding with no drilling, so it can move to the bedroom or entryway later.
They're open about where production stands and share a clear timeline from prototype to delivery. There's no real detail on materials sourcing or sustainability. You pick your finish after the campaign, so there's no guesswork up front.
Compact (48") is $199, Standard (63") is $269, and XL (78.7") is $349. Two-unit bundles run $379 to $519 for full-width setups, with delivery estimated for Feb 2027. You're getting a sofa table, charging station, and shelf in one piece, which is fair for a motorized unit.
