Mobile Pixels has launched 14 projects, including well-known displays like DUEX, TRIO and Geminos. The team has years of experience making and delivering displays at scale. The risks section is upfront about how complex this all-in-one build is.
A 40-inch curved 5K2K LG IPS Black panel with 120Hz and 99% DCI-P3 makes a serious canvas. A dock, USB hub, M.2 SSD slot, card readers, KVM and a 15W charging pad are all built into the display. A cradle for Mac mini or Mac Studio and a fold-away iPhone camera mount keep the desk clean.
The risks section is candid, and the team promises to tell backers first if the schedule or specs change. Putting several accessories into one product cuts down on extra hardware and cable clutter. There are no environmental commitments listed, which would be nice to see at this level.
The Super Early Bird is $999, about 38% off the future retail price, but only a few are left. After that, the Kickstarter Special is $1,199, still about 25% off retail. Once you count the dock, hub, enclosure and charger you'd otherwise buy, the math works.
