This is Rayove's first Kickstarter, from a wearable maker founded in Japan. They show a working prototype and say they already have FCC and CE certification. The factory partner won't be named until mass production starts.
It does hands-free two-way translation in 73 languages, right from your wrist. A rotatable 2MP camera translates signs and menus you point it at. It has its own Nano SIM or Wi-Fi connection, so you don't need your phone.
The body is 100% recycled aluminum, and the factories run partly on solar power. There's a clear breakdown of where the funds go, so you can see where your pledge ends up. They disclose that people in the promo video were generated by AI.
Super early bird is about $304, and later tiers are about $323 and $342. It ships anywhere in the world. Keep in mind that translation needs a data connection, so plan for a SIM or Wi-Fi.
