We're excited to inform you about this Kickstarter campaign. We had the vision to create an abstract deck of playing cards, suitable for any table game or magic trick. After receiving so much positive feedback on the concept art (going viral on design platforms), we have decided to want to make our dream come true. However, we need your backing! The Rewards!

We've been working on this project for several months, finding the best design and best playing card quality. Scanning through sample after sample we concluded these specifications as best for your playing card:

 

The Playing Cards

• 310 gsm German Black Core Linen Card Stock

The Deck

This deck is guaranteed one you haven't seen before. The traditional black suits have been redesigned in a more fitting beautiful blue! The special cards are most notably different. The deck is designed to 'refit' the standard recognizable figures to an abstract geometrical version of themselves. Only the four primary shapes have been used to do this (rectangles, squares, circles, and triangles). Let's take a look at the cards and their suits!

The Creators

Two long-time friends, who both have a shared interest in design, playing cards, and entrepreneurship. Behind this project lies a vision to make beautiful custom and unique cards affordable and available for everyone, and also to make a dream come true! You can help us with that! That is why we offer sharp and affordable prices! We would like to introduce Ruben and Dinand. 

 

Dinand is a  UX designer, who has been interested in card tricks since he was a little boy. Ruben is a Digital Designer who shares this passion. Together they compliment each other and look forward to making their dream come true.

The Manufacturer

The manufacturer is European-based Noir Arts/NPCC. The company was officially formed in 2014 but has a history going back much further. Since 2005, the people involved with Noir Arts have been producing beautiful souvenir-type playing cards for the local Ukrainian market. In 2014 they expanded operations to begin producing playing cards for the worldwide community. They kicked off by creating some of their deck designs and soon began cooperating with talented independent artists and design studios worldwide. Today they work with designers from all over the globe, and wherever they see the talent that fits with their style. 

 

Schedule

We are planning on starting manufacturing as early as September.  After the production process, we will send the decks out accordingly and as soon as possible. We will, accordingly, give you important updates throughout this project. From production updates and shipping time estimates.

 

When the target amount has been reached, production will start. From start to finish, this will take approximately 2 months. The cards will be shipped and distributed accordingly. In the meantime, we will be streamlining the production and shipment process and making everything as efficient as possible, so that the cards can be shipped out promptly. Noir Arts is fulfilling these orders and has done this for several projects and their webshop!

 

Stretch Goals

We want to keep it simple, but if the target amount extends way beyond the goal we would like the chance to give something back, just a small gesture!
